Volunteer at Wise Wonders

There are so many ways to help make the magic happen at Wise Wonders!

Our volunteers bring their time, talents, creativity, and expertise to the museum in a variety of ways. Whether you love working with families, helping behind the scenes, sharing your professional skills, or supporting special events, we would love to find a way for you to get involved.

Volunteer Opportunities

Special Events
Help us bring community events, celebrations, outreach activities, and special programs to life. Volunteers may assist with activities, welcome families, help with setup and cleanup, or provide event support.

Creative Graphics & Design
Have experience with graphic design, photography, marketing, social media, or other creative work? We occasionally need volunteers who can help us create engaging visuals, signage, and materials that support the museum.

Museum Maintenance
A hands-on way to support the museum behind the scenes. Volunteers help us keep exhibits and spaces clean, organized, refreshed, and ready for thousands of curious kids each year.

Play Support
Help create a welcoming, playful environment for our visitors. Play Support volunteers interact with families, help reset exhibit areas, encourage exploration, and assist staff on busy museum days.

Education Committee

Are you an educator, former educator, STEM professional, or someone passionate about learning?

Our Education Committee helps Wise Wonders think creatively about programs, exhibits, curriculum connections, and meaningful learning experiences for children and families. We especially welcome people with experience in education who want to share their knowledge and perspective with the museum.

Wonder Guides | Ages 13+

Young people ages 13 and older can apply to become Wonder Guide volunteers.

Wonder Guides gain real-world volunteer experience while helping at the museum, supporting visitors and staff, and learning more about how a children's museum operates. It is a great opportunity for teens who enjoy working with children, science, creativity, or community service.
