What is a children’s museum?
A Children’s museum is defined as an institution committed to serving the needs and interests of children by providing exhibits and programs that stimulate curiosity and motivate learning. Children’s museums vary greatly in style, size and content. Because of this creativity and diversity, the field is on a continuum of exciting change.
Where is Wise Wonders located?
The Wise Wonders Children’s Museum will be operating at an interim location downtown Billings at 110 N 29th St. Days and Hours of operation will be announced Summer 2015, but keep checking our Events calendar for special events during Spring 2015.
Where will funding come from to support a children’s museum?
To support a children’s museum we will be looking for private donations, corporate sponsorship, endowments, foundation donations and grants. Once the museum is open there will be opportunities for exhibit sponsorship, program sponsorship and additional funding will come from admissions, membership, annual fundraisers, after school programs and summer programming.
